Elizabeth Cummings Johnson has a BFA in Art Education. As a teacher Elizabeth is trained in many mediums. She is often inspired to create fantasy illustrations and digital work. Dragons and mermaids are often the center of these fantasy pieces yet Elizabeth is drawn to single object still-life such as shoes, animals, and flowers. Elizabeth continues her education at Western Michigan University to gain a Master in Art Education yet enjoys the duality of artist and teacher. "I believe a true art teacher must be a practicing artist for hobby or for sale," says Elizabeth. It is her hope some day to make creating art her sole source of income. This year she becomes one step closer to her goal with several of her fantasy dragons being published in a book called "Mythological Creatures" by Renee Mallett.
